Costs and requirements

Proof/certificate of tattoo training is required before applying for an apprenticeship.

• 2-day Body Art Tattoo course: $1250 | $1000 if bundled with apprenticeship at Beauty By Sandra.
• 2-day Semi-Permanent Make-Up course, cost is per style: $1250 | $1000 if bundled with apprenticeship at Beauty By Sandra.
  • Each style is a separate course. Student must select their style(s): Ombre, Nano-combo, Full-nano hairstrokes, Lip Blush, and Eye-liner.

200 hour Tattoo Apprenticeship cost

• $6000 for 6 months of apprenticeship training. Payment plans are available upon request.
• After that period, if apprenticeship is not complete, the rate shifts to $450 per month until you finish the required hours.

Additional state and shop requirements

Additional requirements must be completed before an apprenticeship can begin. More details will be sent to the student upon deposit and enrollment.

These amounts below are only estimates and could change. These costs are separate from training and apprenticeship tuition.

• Temporary Body Art Technician license sponsored by the tattoo establishment while completing 200 hours of skin contact time. Beauty By Sandra will provide information upon student deposit and enrollment to obtain the temp license. Estimated cost: $240.
• Complete a bloodborne pathogen online training. Estimated cost: about $35.
• Create and register an LLC business name. Estimated cost: about $90.
• Purchase tattoo insurance throughout your time with us. Estimated cost starts at $38-$100+ per month.

• Each style is a separate course due to the detailed nature of each technique. Student must select their style(s): Ombre, Nano-combo, Full-nano hairstrokes, Lip Blush, and Eye-liner.
• Bundle more than one PMU course for $600 per additional style - training days may extend depending on how many styles are selected.

Purpose

This 2-day course provides foundational knowledge and professional skills for artists interested in semi-permanent services. This course focuses on brow theory, design, client experience, and professional practice. Student must select the style(s) they want to learn. Each style is a separate course and cost. Styles include ombre/powder brows, combo brows, nano brows, lip blush, and eyeliner.

Day 1 focuses on PMU fundamentals: industry overview and ethics, skin anatomy, facial symmetry, mapping, color theory, and an overview of tools and equipment. Students practice mapping and pigment selection through guided exercises.

Day 2 covers technique theory and demonstrations, client consultations, procedure workflow, aftercare and healing theory, and career development. Students gain practical planning skills, learn to manage client expectations, and explore marketing and business basics.
